When It Comes To Business, Early Risers Know The Secret To Prosperity
Research shows that morning people tend to be more productive and proactive – They anticipate problems and work to overcome them in advance.
Advantages of early risers include feeling more…
They tend to be go-getters who take charge, enjoy a reputation for success and prosperity. They are organized and accomplish more before 9 am than late risers do all day.
These comments from early rising Salon Plaza Members speak volumes:
“I spend time choosing long-term goals for myself.”“I feel in charge of making things happen.”
Using the hours before you meet and greet your first client is one key to a healthy and prosperous lifestyle.
What To Do When You Rise & Shine?
7 Secrets To Do Before 8 AM That Can Help You Claim Prosperity:
Sounds simple? You may have heard that 70% of your body is water. Did you know that your BRAIN CELLS contain about 85% water? Jumpstart your mind and body by downing at least 16 oz of pure water first things in the morning.
2. Count Your Blessings
Before you turn on the news, appreciate what you have. (Do you really want to start your day will all that depressing talk you can’t do anything about?)
Instead, count 10 positives in your life, one on each finger. Maybe you feel grateful about…
- Your fabulous, amazing body
- Your loved ones
- Your wonderful clients who return time after time
- The new leaves on the plant in your window…
If that doesn’t energize you, go on to your toes. There’s something so silly about counting your blessings on your toes that you are bound to laugh and feel good about the day!
If you start your morning with exercise, you will exercise daily. Otherwise, it’s hit or miss. It could be a few yoga stretches, a morning walk, or a full session at the gym. As a cosmetologist, you must stand, reach, bend… waking up your body with gentle movement will prepare you for the physical demand of your profession.
Try a little meridian tapping to get your energies flowing in the right direction. Using your fingertips, tap firmly on your cheek bones, under your nose, your chin, under your collar bone, in the center of your chest, along your ribcage, your thighs, and your lower back. Breath deeply with this exercise for best effects.
4. Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Take time to fuel your body for the tasks demanded of you. Feeling satisfied will help keep your mind focused and clear. Another benefit – Eating breakfast gives you time to connect with your family and feel a sense of purpose before heading out the door.
5. Map Out Your Day
What are your projects for the day? Who do you need to get in touch with? What specific actions will you take? Be sure to schedule in breaks, meals and maybe a moment to relax with Facebook… with a strict time limit!
Then at the end of the day, you can review what you accomplished with your valuable, irreplaceable hours.
6. Decide The ONE Task You MUST Do
When you climb out of bed, do you feel overwhelmed with all you have to do? If so, decide on the ONE most important thing you must get done that day… and tackle it first. Instead of dreading the unpleasantness of it from your first sip of coffee to your drive home, knock it out of the ballpark. Your day will get easier as your energy begins to lag, instead of the other way around.
“What is one thing I can get done today that will make me feel satisfied with my day?”
Found it? Super. Put off everything else until you cross it off your list.
7. Visualize Success
Morning is the perfect time to quietly center your mind and heart. Some like to use this time to read scripture or inspirational quotes. Now that you’ve planned out your day, visualize the successes you will have. A few minutes of positive thinking will improve your outlook and readiness for the challenges ahead.
